Chancy-Pougny : renewal of the control system
This increase will take place with a progressive exchange of Francis turbines, which have fixed blades, for Kaplan turbines, with their more efficient mobile blades (supplier: Andritz Hydro). Eventually, the power installed will reach 50 MW and the annual average producibility to 245 GWh.
The first phase of the works, begun in 2003 with the replacement of groups 1 and 2, was completed in October 2006 and May 2008 respectively.
Our participation in the following stages of this project are within the framework of the renewal of the Control System of groups 3 and 4. Our team, represented by engineers from the telematic unit, is presently at the study stage and the first phase of accomplishment related to the computerizing of the different component systems at the power station.
The new equipment will be integrated into the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system used by the operator for the supervision of the present and future equipment.
