A chemical analysis laboratory
The chemical laboratory specialises in analysing and testing insulating and lubricating oils.
Our workforce carries out more than 1,400 oil analyses a year on transformers and voltage/current transformers. Its main tasks are to:
- examine physicochemical parameters to ascertain the condition of the oil
- determine the quality and quantity of dissolved gases in dielectric oil to establish the health of a transformer or to identify an operating fault
- analyse furan compounds to determine the deterioration of transformer core cellulose.
