HYDRO is 10 years old

The Grande Dixence, EOS and FMV companies wanted to reconsider their structures and transfer the running of all their activities concerned with the exploitation of their hydroelectricity plants.

The number of male and female collaborators has risen dramatically to more than the present-day figure of 500. The range of our competence has developed considerably. Today, we have managed to place HYDRO Exploitation SA as a centre of expertise and an indisputable partner in its domain.

This evolution has also necessitated strengthening the sharing of the common values within the company. During this anniversary year, we wish to emphasise this idea. Furthermore, we want to involve each member of staff in this process. This desire has enabled us to develop a company project which valorises two paradigms, tradition and modernity, around three axes, namely commitment, discovery and culture.

HYDRO Exploitation SA’s ten year anniversary will lead to two main events. The staff will be taking up shovels and picks in order to render a bisse (mountain irrigation stream) accessible for people with limited mobility. This project will bring to fruition one of the ideas of the paraplegic Michel Barras, who has campaigned to have these paradisiacal spots practicable for wheelchair-users for more than 30 years.

The second event will be an exhibition of clichés composed by impassioned contributors. They will publicise our work, by featuring our activities. Through their personalities and their artistic styles, they will show another side to our work.
