Operation and maintenance
We now manage a range of facilities comprising around forty hydroelectric power stations, for our clients.
To achieve this, more than 340 people qualified in the fields of engineering
and electricity are based at production and pumping sites from the Rhône glacier
to Lake Geneva and the Vaud Jura region. In Sion there are over 90 engineers,
technicians, project managers and specialists who are capable of diagnosing
faults or problems and working totally independently of suppliers. More than 500
people in total work closely together every day.
The operation of
facilities includes continuous monitoring and day-to-day maintenance of
installations. Inspections and controls are conducted regularly by our
employees. An on-call service ensures technical support to power stations 24
hours a day, should a problem arise. In addition, a call-out service
(diagnostics and intervention) operates around the clock.
The operation also
includes periodic maintenance work. This is done with CAM, a computer assisted
maintenance system.
Maintenance activities are carried out by
multidisciplinary teams composed of specialists in data communications,
mechanical, electrical and civil engineering.
They are divided into:
- preventive maintenance: servicing of installations, dismantling and reassembly of worn and defective components in production and pumping installations, etc.
- specialist maintenance: in particular repair operations for very powerful machines (dismantling, assembly, commissioning test).
