RENOVATION AND REFURBISHMENT ENGINEERING

Renovation and refurbishment engineering is relevant to all installations in hydroelectric facilities. It is equally important for primary components that are central to the generation of energy (turbines, alternators, transformers, etc.) and for secondary components (monitoring equipment).

IIts aim is to guarantee the reliability and availability of facilities and ensure the safety of persons and equipment.

Methodology

Our methodology is based on the standards applicable in this field (ISO, SIA, IEC, DIN, EN). It takes account of regulatory requirements for construction (the Machinery Directive, SUVA guidelines, ESTI compliance, Swiss Federal Office of Energy (OFEN) requirements). The following steps are applied in project management:

  • evaluation of the situation, preliminary studies and variant analysis
  • proposed choice of delivery variant, in line with objectives defined by the site owner
  • preparation of a draft project, then of the project proper
  • invitations to tender and the selection of suppliers (including public contract procedures)
  • planning, delivery and monitoring of the work; quality control
  • commissioning and submission of documentation
  • handover to the operator
